WHAT ARE WOOD PELLETS?
Wood pellets are America's most environmentally friendly and practical home
heating source. For years now wood pellets have been a clean burning, low
cost, easy to use alternative fuel that does not contribute to global warming.
These pellets are not only easy to use but with rising fuel prices, they are
the number one alternative heating source. Pellets are burned in a wood pellet
stove, similar in nature to a wood stove, being that they come in free standing
or insert models. The biggest advantages of the stoves, is that they are
completely automated. All a person has to do is load a hopper with a 40lb bag
and set the thermostat to the desired room temperature and sit back and relax
by a warm cozy fire. Yes this means no more messy firewood in the house. The
average home in America will burn one 40lb bag of pellets a day during the
heating season.
